Alexander Group is a dynamic company. Over the years they have made many changes to their fleet of trucks, but the latest changes they have made probably out do all the others. These two bright looking Western Stars are their latest addition and not only have they been painted in the companies new colours, but they are also the first Western Stars in a Freightliner dominated fleet.

When the Western Stars arrived in New Zealand they came equipped with numerous factory options including an 18" Texas bumper, dual stacks, a stainless visor and painted fuel tanks. Some of the Xtras include a chrome plate complete with LEDs which was added to the bottom of the bumper effectively minimising the gap to the road, chrome plating around the headlights, the factory visor was replaced with a larger stainless drop visor, the factory exhausts were replaced with 6" cut stacks and shortened, the five LEDs on each air cleaner were replaced with 2 larger rectangular ones and on the back some heavy duty chequer plating and company mud flaps were added. The overall look of the two identical rigs and matching trailers is outstanding.

Yellow is certainly a bold choice and is a major change from the blue that was a familiar site on New Zealand roads. One thing that hasn't changed is Alexander's ability to put eXceptional trucks on the road and these two bright looking Western Stars are perfect examples of an eXceptional fleet.
